About this sitter

I’m an experienced international house and pet sitter currently based in Alaska, and I genuinely love caring for animals and homes while people travel. I’ve cared for a wide range of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, reptiles, birds, goats, and senior pets. I’ve also completed house sits internationally, including in Guatemala, and I’m very comfortable managing homes and animal routines in both urban and remote environments.

Living in Alaska has made me very adaptable and comfortable with independent living, remote settings, and handling unexpected situations calmly. I’m organized, attentive, and naturally very respectful of the homes I stay in. I keep spaces clean, communicate clearly, and make sure animals feel safe, loved, and relaxed while their people are away.

Animals tend to warm up to me quickly because I spend a lot of time with them, paying attention to their routines and personalities. Whether it’s daily walks, play time, feeding schedules, or administering medication, I’m comfortable maintaining whatever rhythm helps them feel secure.

When I’m house sitting, my goal is simple: for homeowners to travel with complete peace of mind knowing their animals and home are being cared for responsibly.

I’m especially drawn to sits where I can spend time in nature, explore new places slowly, and care for animals that are used to being close to their humans. I enjoy quiet environments, outdoor settings, and homes where pets are truly part of the family.

Why they want to house sit

House sitting allows me to combine two things I really enjoy: caring for animals and experiencing new places in a slower, more meaningful way. I’ve always connected easily with animals and genuinely enjoy being part of their daily routines—whether that’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company so they feel safe and relaxed while their people are away.

It also allows me to travel in a way that feels grounded. Instead of just passing through a place, I get to experience life there while helping someone care for their home and the animals they love.

Because I live in Alaska and have spent time house sitting internationally, including in Guatemala, I’m very comfortable adapting to different environments—from quiet rural properties to beach communities and small towns. I appreciate the responsibility that comes with caring for someone’s home and pets, and I take that trust seriously.

For me, house sitting is about creating peace of mind for homeowners. My goal is always for people to travel knowing their animals are safe, loved, and well cared for, and that they’ll return to a happy home.

Their experience

Yes, I’m very experienced with house and pet sitting and have cared for a wide range of animals and homes in different environments.

Over the past year I’ve completed multiple house sits caring for dogs, cats, chickens, reptiles, birds, goats, and senior pets. Many of these homes had multiple animals and unique routines, so I’m very comfortable maintaining feeding schedules, administering medication when needed, walking dogs, and making sure animals feel calm and secure while their owners are away.

I’ve also completed international house sits, including in Guatemala, where I cared for several animals and managed the property while the owners were traveling. Experiences like this have helped me become very adaptable and comfortable handling responsibilities independently.

Living in Alaska has also given me a lot of experience with remote and self-sufficient living, which translates well to house sitting. I’m used to taking care of homes in places where you need to be attentive, organized, and calm if something unexpected happens.

Homeowners often appreciate that I’m responsible, communicative, and very attentive with animals. My focus is always to maintain the routine pets are used to so they feel safe, loved, and relaxed while their people are away.

What can they bring to the assignment

What I bring most is calm, reliable presence and real adaptability. Living in Alaska and house sitting internationally has taught me how to take care of homes and animals in places where you can’t rely on quick help or constant supervision. I’m comfortable handling things independently, staying organized, and responding calmly if something unexpected comes up.

I also genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I don’t treat house sitting like a place to stay while I’m out all day—I tend to structure my time around the animals so they get attention, exercise, and companionship similar to what they’re used to with their owners. Animals usually warm up to me quickly because I’m patient and attentive to their personalities and routines.

Another thing I bring is respect for the home and environment. Whether it’s a city home, a rural property, or a place surrounded by nature, I take pride in leaving spaces clean, well cared for, and exactly as they were when I arrived.

Because I’ve cared for many different types of animals—from energetic young dogs to older pets with special needs—I’m comfortable adjusting to different routines and personalities.

Ultimately, what I aim to provide that homeowners appreciate most is peace of mind: knowing their animals are safe, loved, and their home is being looked after responsibly while they’re away.
