Avid and experienced cat-fosterer and pet-sitter at your service!

About this sitter

I've lived internationally for years, and spent the last 6 years fostering cats in my local community of pet rescuers. I'm also always on call as the pet-looker-afterer for friends and have minded dogs, chickens, and a rabbit for friends on holiday.
Now I have a few months for travel and I'd like to keep contributing while I move around. Petsitting gives me a chance to go to places I'd like to see, have a stable base where I can go running and cook for myself, and enjoy the company of wonderful pets. All the things I value in life!

Why they want to house sit

I'd like to have a more local perspective on the places I want to visit. I don't mind doing some cleaning, plant-watering or gardening as well as looking after pets. For pet-sits in Spain, I'm particularly looking to improve my Spanish so I really want to be in areas where I can use it on a daily basis.

Their experience

I've fostered numerous cats of various degrees of challenge - in terms of both health and behaviour - over the last six years. I'm very confident looking after even challenging cats.
I'm also used to dogs, although by no means a dog expert. I run a lot and love walking so am happy to exercise dogs.
Other animals I have some minimal experience with are chickens, rabbits and guinea-pigs. For other pets, give me instructions and I'll be fine!

What can they bring to the assignment

I'm very respectful of the space I'm in and will take care of both the pets and the home. I'm very happy to communicate regularly and send daily updates and photos of pets.
In the fostering and rescue community I also had to deal with challenging situations where injured pets needed to see vets. I'd like to think I'm calm in a crisis and act in accordance with the owner's wishes.
