Responsible and calm house sitter already in Andalusia – remote worker and pet friendly

About this sitter

Hello, my name is Oliver. I am 46 years old and originally from Germany, currently living in Andalusia. I work as a freelance consultant, book author and remote online worker, which means I spend a lot of time at home and can take good care of a house and pets.

I am a calm, responsible and reliable person, non-smoker and very respectful when staying in someone else's home. I value cleanliness, clear communication and treating a home with care.

I am already based in Andalusia and have my own car, so I can travel easily within the region. Usually I can arrive with about one week’s notice.

Note: Since I have my own car, I have a flexible schedule and can get there quickly—even to remote areas in the countryside (where I used to live in Andalusia).

Ideally I am looking for longer house sitting stays (around one month or more). Since I work remotely, a stable internet connection is important for me.

I am happy to take care of dogs, cats and other pets and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away.

House sitting is a great opportunity to help homeowners feel relaxed while they travel, knowing their home and pets are in good hands.

I enjoy quiet environments and taking care of animals. Being present in the house, keeping things tidy and making sure pets have their routine and attention is something I genuinely enjoy.

Since I work remotely, I am often at home and can give both the house and the animals a lot of attention.

For me, house sitting is based on trust and respect. I treat every home as if it were my own and appreciate the opportunity to stay in new places while helping others at the same time.

Their experience

I am relatively new to formal house-sitting platforms, but I already have practical experience living responsibly in other people’s homes and respecting their property.

I recently spent three months near Vélez-Málaga in a “living for help” arrangement with a Spanish host named Antonio. During that time, I lived independently in a private apartment in his house and helped him daily on his farm.

The work mainly involved outdoor and seasonal farm tasks such as clearing weeds, cutting grass and assisting with the avocado harvest.

This experience strengthened my sense of reliability, clear communication, independence and responsibility when staying on someone else’s property.

I bring reliability, honest, calmness and a strong sense of responsibility. Since I work remotely, I spend a lot of time at home, which means the house and pets receive regular attention and presence.

I am organized, respectful and clean, and I communicate clearly if anything important comes up. I am happy to take care of pets such as dogs and cats, keep routines, water plants and make sure the home stays tidy and secure while the owners are away.
