Experienced Retired Couple for peace of mind so your pets will be happy in their own home.
In 2022 , our sweet Fox Terrier and Jack russell both passed at the age of 18.
For the first time in many years, we are now petless.
While the temptation to welcome another pet is strong, we choose to embrace the opportunity to travel and pet sit in our retirement.
We are both non smokers and non vapers but do enjoy a drink with dinner. We have 2 other per sitting profiles.

Why they want to house sit

As we are both retired and now pet free for the first time in many years, we decided to embrace the opportunity to travel. This lifestyle has not only given us the chance to see many unique place but also i wide range of pets.
I truly miss my garden and the joy it brought me each day and while the pull has strong to find another dog, we felt we should use the time to pet/house sit and travel while the opportunity rose.
We love meeting new people and seeing new places.
Phillippa had the opportunity in her younger years to work on farms with cattle also lambing and carving, ducks, chickens and horses.
I feel very comfortable around animals.
Myself I have had 2 horses, 1 donkey, chickens, a fish pond with 50 large goldfish, birds, a goat and 5 dogs and 6 cats.
Sitting is a very .nice way to still have pet cuddles and travel.

Their experience

We have had many different animals in our lives. The last 2 dogs passed at 18.
Phillippa have had rainbow lorikeets, a pond with over 50 gold fish, chickens, we had 6 different dogs and even more cats.
Phillippa has owned 2 horses.
I have worked on farms with cattle, sheep, goats, ducks, horses also lambing and of course calving stock.

What can they bring to the assignment

As an older couple we bring a life full of experience.
We are a very mature couple and basically see sitting as an opportunity to see and do something different.
We have the greatest respect for the opportunity to look after your fur babies and your home.

We have a few big rules,
Firstly we are looking after your home and your treasured pets.
The instructions that you would leave for us is NOT a guideline, it is what you want to happen. No human food means just that. Cats inside at night or cats not to be let outside at all.
No pets on the couch, or please cuddle said pets as they are very affectionate.
It goes without saying we are not party people. We are also not going to be out all day seeing the sights but Walking dogs in the village or woods or beach is something we enjoy.

We NEVER ask anyone into your home, unless for some reason you have okayed it. The security of the home we sit is our responsibility.
All windows and doors locked at night and whenever we are out.


Leave the home in a clean and tidy the way we found it, or better.
