Why they want to house sit

I am currently looking for sits in the New York area, as I am relocating for work. Sitting lets me learn about various neighborhoods before relocating, while caring for your fur baby and home. I'm not just looking for a place to stay- I like having a purpose in a space, whether that's keeping things in order or maintaining a pet's routine so they feel comfortable while you're away. It's a way for me to be present and useful, while also getting a real feel for where I may want to settle.

Yes- mostly through real-life experience. I care for a variety of houseplants (cactus, pothos, snake plants, palms, holiday cactus), and I've tried my hand at outdoor gardening, though sometimes it turns into more of a wildlife buffet than a harvest. I'm comfortable with feeding routines, walks, and general pet care, and I stay on top of the small things like mail, trash, and keeping a home secure. Professionally, I'm a casino dealer, which requires attention to detail and maintaining a high level of trust, and that carries over into how I handle someone else's home.
