Filmmaker looking to travel and explore the US while I apply to film schools!

I am 32 years old and originally from Western Massachusetts (though I've lived in Bangladesh, Italy, Ireland, California, and Arlington VA!). I have a BA in Art History, speak Italian, love art and creativity of all kinds, love cats and dogs, and have a positive outlook on life. I am spending this next year building up a film portfolio to apply to film schools.

I'm looking for a house sit that is preferably on the East Coast (Maine down to the Carolinas) and in a city or within driving distance of a metropolitan area. Because I will be pretty nomadic this year, my preference is for house sits that are for at least 2 weeks - this saves me from having to relocate every few days. I am happy to look after 2-3 pets (cats, dogs, birds) - other animals are out of my wheelhouse. I can also do some gardening/plant care.

Why they want to house sit

I recently moved back to the East Coast from California and I am building up a portfolio to apply to film schools early next year. In the interim, I want to stay fairly nomadic and see different states/parts of country while doing my film work, most of which is documentary. I love travel and getting to experience new places!

Their experience

Yes, I've house sat for friends on many occasions, ranging in length from a few days to three weeks. I've looked after a dog and birds during several of these stays. I've also had several cats of my own.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am courteous, kind, a fast learner, tidy, attentive to detail, and respectful of other peoples' homes. I go above and beyond to leave a space as it was when I found it. I consider the opportunity to share someone else's home a privilege!
