About this sitter

I went to university and studied psychology and then joined law enforcement to help people with struggles. I’m patient kind empathetic and a massive animal lover. I’ve never not had animals. We’ve had guinea pigs, rabbits, German short haired pointers, dobermans, Vizlas and for the last 16 years we’ve had miniature schnauzers one that passed recently and one that is 16 years old currently.
I have a 25-year-old son who has moved out of home and still studying at university in Australia and I have a 20-year-old daughter who has moved to the USA and currently in Washington Uni Rowing at College. My husband has a PhD and still works full-time even though I’ve retired we were very committed to our children and spent a lot of time travelling for them with sports and activities.
I would like to go on an adventure for the first time in years and look after myself and my husband is very supportive of this he will continue to stay and work in Australia.I would like to travel anywhere for minimum of two weeks preferably longer. I’m great with animals. I’m the person that every dog in the park always comes to and says hello. I walk for about two hours a day. I live close to the beach. I enjoy being calm and relaxed. I like to read but don’t require going out socially after having such a hectic life with my career and my very ambitious children.
I am looking to go somewhere to genuinely enjoy nature, relaxation and peace so I don’t want to go out socialising or out for long hours. I literally just want to go for a walk with the dog, cuddle a cat or potter around the garden but generally it’s about relaxing. I come from a beachside suburb Bayside in Melbourne. Victoria Australia. My plan would be to fly to wherever your place is that’s why minimum two weeks or one month or longer would be better and to just relax enjoy the serenity and look after your house. I’m very clean and like a clean space and very honest especially because I have 30 years in a career of dealing with people who aren’t honest so it’s something that I definitely value!

Why they want to house sit

I want to housesit because I love the idea of going somewhere to relax and enjoy an established space whilst also looking after your space like it is my own.
after having such a busy life especially over the last 30 years with work and children and schools and sports I am 150% ready just to go somewhere and chill and relax and be calm. I don’t even mind spending time on my own. I love my independence whilst also having a good relationship and being married for the last 28 years. I’m also very comfortable in my own skin and being on my own.

Their experience

I have travelled a lot and I’ve looked up after other people‘s houses mainly friends and family and dog sat when they’ve gone away.
I don’t just see it as a job. I 100% see it as a privilege and a luxury because I truly love animals, but even if an animal isn’t there, I will entertain myself just by pottering around or reading and keeping active by walking.

What can they bring to the assignment

I can bring trust, honesty, commitment and a guarantee that I won’t be using your house for anything other than relaxation and keeping calm.
What I would love about your house is that I would be there to relax and make sure that everything is safe also 30 years in law enforcement. I’m very security conscious I’m also very aware and in tune with my surroundings so it’s like your own personal security guard who just wants to relax. Also having animals my whole life I love being around them. It’s not a burden. It’s something I’ve always had.
