Looking for love in foreign pet places

About this sitter

I love animals of kinds. Our home has 3 dogs, 3 cats, 14 chickens & a bunny. I am retired so want to travel, but want the comfort of animals around me. I like to walk to the stores, around villages or cities - preferably with a dog buddy on a leash. I travel with my own animal brush!! I can't remember a time in my life without at least one cat, usually more! As my 'career' now that I have retired, I pet sit locally. My 'pets' range from a house with 4 labs, another with 2 cane corsos and 4 horses, one has dogs and pigs and a number have cats and dogs. All are repeat and happy clients.

Why they want to house sit

I want to see more of the world now that I have time. I spent half my career put up in 5 star hotels and rushing on to the next city so I appreciate the comfort of a home with pets. I like to have time to explore a small area, walk in the woods or down village lanes. I like having the time to learn about life in a different place. I like short outings and lots of time to spend with the animals who need me. Of course, I love trying new food and would want to go out to either lunch or dinner every day, preferably with a dog if allowed by the restaurant. After dinner, it would be straight home and before dark. Such is the quiet life of a retired woman and I find it bliss!

Their experience

Yes. I regularly petsit (for $) locally and am in high demand. My entire business has been built on referrals. I also live in a country house with my daughter and her family. They constantly bring home animals and I end up feeding and caring for them! I love it. Right now, we have 3 rescue dogs (including a Great Dane who sleeps with me nightly), 2 Medium dogs of varied heritage but one old guy is old, arthritic and blind so needs a lot of loving. All sleep in my room, as do the cats. We also have a bunny and 14 chickens. Great egg layers and fun to hang with!

What can they bring to the assignment

I am extremely calm, happy and love my four-footed clients!! I am very conscientious and aware that their needs are why I am there. Plus, I am very tidy and often leave a place cleaner than when I arrived. I don't understand 'snooping' and would never open drawers/closets, etc. I bring my own animal grooming brush -- they all love it! and usually travel with dog treats in my pockets. Whatever comfort, cuddling, grooming or love your pets need, I am ready, willing and able.
