About this sitter

I am a 69 years young woman, fit and active. I have been living in the SW of France. I was born and brought up in New Zealand and then I travelled to Europe to experience the different lifestyles here, and currently I'm still here. I have finally finished restoring and furnishing my old French farmhouse, I am interested in interior design and decorating, and cooking when I get the time. My home is now sold and I am looking for my next one. It is also my time to continue the travel that I came to Europe originally to enjoy and also to reconnect with my roots in NZ. I have used Trusted House Sitters over the years to find loving people to look after my fur babies, 3 beautiful Burmese cats and a moggy and various hens and a rooster. I now have lost my last gorgeous cat. I worked for 10 years before leaving NZ as a veterinary nurse in small animal practice. I also love being outdoors, the countryside, love plants and am a keen gardener.

Why they want to house sit

I see the opportunity to travel and experience other places, yet have a base and a furry friend at the same time. A house without an animal would be so empty.

Their experience

Obviously as a veterinary nurse I have had lots of experience attending to the needs of animals. And also through the lives of my own pets. Growing up I lived in a household that included dogs of different sizes, cats, goats and sheep as family members over the years.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am very in tune with the needs and wants of an animal and also those of the pet parent. Having been a pet parent myself, I know what I want from a sitter for my pets, so would give the same high quality love and attention to any pet under my care. I also have a big respect and appreciation for the homes of others.
