I’m an adventurous person who loves exploring new places and learning about different cultures. I enjoy being around people, animals, and nature—sometimes drawn to the energy of the city, and other times to the quiet of the countryside. My favourite places are often those off the beaten path.

I’ve had cats and dogs most of my life, and even rabbits for a short time. My dog passed away a couple of years ago, and since I’m hoping to travel more, I don’t currently have any pets.

Originally from Newfoundland, Canada, I spent the past nine years living in British Columbia, Canada. The photos give a glimpse into my personality and reflect my love of the outdoors. I’m also an avid reader and a history enthusiast, and I’m excited about opportunities to visit new places and experience them firsthand—especially since it’s easy to forget how young Canada really is.

I have a Canadian drivers license and can drive both automatic and manual shift vehicles. I can also drive snowmobiles and small boats, but I can't imagine that being relevant here, but one never knows... lol

I enjoy the occasional glass of wine, a cold beer, or a good whiskey—and I believe a good laugh is always essential.

Why they want to house sit

After raising my family and working professionally for 45 years, I retired in September 2025 and decided it was finally time to focus on what I love most: travelling, exploring, and connecting with people from different cultures.

Over the years, I’ve learned to truly enjoy my own company and have taken several solo trips, mostly within Canada and the United States. I’ve also spent extended time in Ireland, which deepened my appreciation for history, culture, and the experience of living somewhere new.

Their experience

I house-sat for two months in the Cork area of Ireland, and I am returning to Cork in June to house and pet sit for someone for two months.

What can they bring to the assignment

I’m clean and tidy, and I’ve always had a deep love for animals—I’m always happy to meet new ones. I’ve been an avid gardener for about 25 years, which has taught me patience and care. I consider myself intelligent, non-judgmental, and calm under pressure. I will treat your home and pets as if they are mine.
