I hold a Doctorate in Leadership & Management, a Master’s in Special Education, and a Bachelor’s in Communications. I taught high school sciences before moving into educational leadership, and I now work remotely as a Learning & Development consultant, focusing on inclusion, diversity, and creating accessible learning experiences. My work requires strong communication, empathy, structure, and the ability to keep many moving parts running smoothly; all qualities that translate directly into being a reliable house sitter.
After living and working in Georgia my entire life, I’m ready for an adventure and a new chapter. Housesitting feels like the perfect way to explore new places, meet new people, and experience life at a slower, more intentional pace — all while offering something meaningful in return.
I grew up with animals and spent part of my childhood on a farm, so caring for pets has always been second nature. As a science teacher and later a special educator/administrator, I’ve cared for just about every creature you can imagine: geckos, snakes, frogs, fish, dogs, cats, and even the occasional spider. Animals have always been part of my daily routine, and I genuinely enjoy their company and their quirks.
I also fully believe I’m the funniest person I know. I love puns and dad jokes, and pets are the perfect audience. They never judge my singing, dancing, or my commitment to an after?dinner “fart walk” (it’s a real thing, and they love it).
I’m looking for a chance to step into a new environment, settle in, and really get to know a place from the inside-not as a tourist, but as a temporary local.
Housesitting lets me combine two things I love: exploring new places and spending time with animals. It’s a great way to experience a community while giving homeowners peace of mind that their pets and home are in good hands.
Have I stayed in homes and watched pets for friends- Sure!
While I’m newer to formal housesitting, I have a lifetime of hands?on experience caring for animals; from growing up on a farm to years of classroom pets as a science teacher. I’m comfortable with a wide range of animals and bring a calm, responsible presence to any home.
Professionally, I’ve spent years in roles that require responsibility, communication, and keeping many moving parts running smoothly. My background in education, leadership, and inclusion work means I’m organized, dependable, and comfortable following detailed instructions or creating structure when needed. I’m used to managing environments, responding calmly to unexpected situations, and making sure everyone (including pets!) feels safe and cared for.
I work remotely, so I’m home often and able to give pets consistent companionship and attention throughout the day. I keep spaces clean, follow routines closely, and treat every home with the same respect and care I give my own.
If you’re looking for someone who will genuinely love your home as if it were my own, communicates clearly (possibly a little too much), has a great sense of humor, and consistently underpromises and overdelivers — I’m your girl, bestie.
Oh and I have a cat... I would love to bring her but understand , your house, your rules.
