About this sitter

Hello/Bonjour!
I secured my flight and will be landing in London on September 10. I will be pet sitting a dog then travelling to France where I have secured a pet sit for a beloved dog and three cats until September 29. From this date, I am looking for pet sits in France, Spain or Italy until my departure on November 30. I have all the visa requirements needed for this journey.
I am a non-smoking graphics and web designer living in Vancouver, BC Canada. I also teach web design for entrepreneurs from my laptop.
What I am looking for in a pet sit are clear instructions from the pet owner so I can ensure a harmonious and happy experience. I’m looking for a place where I can work from my laptop and balancing that with making plenty of time for play and cuddles with the pets that I care for.

Why they want to house sit

Pet sitting provides me an affordable opportunity to satisfy my love of travel. I find residing in a home in a community and neighbourhood during my travel adventure to be more authentic to learn about a place over staying in a hotel as it provides me a deeper understanding of the country, the culture and the people and pets I care for. As a photographer, I like to capture the uniqueness in the local landscape I am in and look for great photo opportunities of the pets I look after which I share with the pet owner during my stay. I think about the memories created with the pets I care forlong after I have said goodbye.

I have been pet sitting for three years and I’ve grown to love the pet sitting experience and the pets that I care for. I bond with each one. I would be delighted to ensure the well-being of your pet(s) while you are away and to be their companions on a daily basis. I have three years experience pet sitting and I have received the highest recommendations from each one which I can share if requested. I have experience dealing with pets who have separation anxiety when the pet owner leaves and have done extensive research to alleviate this anxiety.

What can they bring to the assignment

As a solo traveler, the pets I care for become my companions. Pets provide so much unconditional love and this contributes to the bond that is created between us. All pets need to feel safe and in good hands. I build their trust by learning about them and their needs. Some like to be brushed, some don’t. Some pets are curious and friendly and want to get to know you right away. Other pets are afraid with someone new and in these moments, it’s very important to give them the space to feel safe enough to come to you.
