About this sitter
I am a solitary 60 yr old house-cleaning animal lover recently stepped away from my self-employment due to crippling sciatica, which I have since cured with tai chi and strength training. I love dogs, cats, walking, British telly, BBC radio, trains, and music.
Why they want to house sit
I lived in England 1989-1991 and have never been back. A pet sitting position in UK with a dog to walk with is my idea of a perfect holiday.

I have 12 years experience of being trusted with the house keys and garage codes of families who have relied on me to care for their pets and their homes. In the end I was so busy I was turning away new business.

Phenomenal Cat Sitter!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Susan. She stayed in my tiny Manhattan apartment with my cat Frankie while I was on a much needed vacation. Susan’s care and consideration towards my Frankie allowed me to enjoy my vacation worry free! On top of the responsibility of watching Frankie, I received a last minute request from my landlord to show my apartment and host an open house while I was away because I am moving soon. Susan was wonderful and made sure everything was clean for the open house and took care of everything since I wasn’t able to be there. Susan sent daily detailed updates and pictures! Even on a day that she was having phone troubles, she went to the library to be sure that she could email me an update which I SO appreciated. Upon coming home, it was so clear to me that Frankie had received the same care and attention that I give to her. Her food was topped off, her water was clean, and the apartment was SPOTLESS. Susan went out of her way to even change the sheets so when I got home from a long day of travel I truly didn’t have to worry about anything aside from cuddling with Frankie. Guaranteed Peace of Mind
We needed a last-minute sitter when our regular one fell through, and luckily, I remembered my past great experiences with MindMyHouse. Because of a stressful and busy week at work, I didn't have time to message people individually and just put up a post. Thankfully, Susan saw it and reached out. She was incredibly patient with me during a time when I wasn't the most responsive. Before the trip, we did a video chat to introduce her to our cats, show her around the apartment, and ensure our expectations aligned. While we were away, Susan kept in touch with regular updates and pictures of the kitties. She was always quick to reply and provided the exact peace of mind I needed to actually enjoy my time off. Susan is responsible, reliable, and an excellent communicator. She truly respected our home and gave our cats so much love. She was even generous enough to replace our TV remote batteries and leave us a new Brita filter! We returned to an apartment that was spotlessly clean and tidy—coming home to zero chores outside of regular travel laundry was such a comforting feeling. We would be extremely lucky to have Susan stay again, and I highly recommend her to any homeowner.
