To pamper your pets and enjoy your home, garden, and environs ... of course! ... and to feed our travel and photography addiction, explore new places, find new stories, meet new people, and immerse ourselves in different communities, cultures, and heritage ... or, to just chill on a remote tropical island.

Their experience

We are highly experienced (25 years) house-sitters and home-exchangers across Australia and internationally (Europe, Asia, and the Pacific), and enjoy repeat sits in fabulous locations while nannying for adorable pets.

We love animals, consider them part of the family, and have shared our lives with cats, chickens, rabbits, goats, alpacas, cows, horses, donkeys, border collies, kelpies, a jack russell, a de Bordeaux, and have been nannies to many more.

We own our homes on Queensland's Redlands Coast. We're both house proud, and maintain our homes and gardens to a high standard. We will treat your property the same, and will pamper your pets ... much!

Non-smokers, rare drinkers, we are very active, adventurous, and travel-addicted. Our other passions are renovating and flipping houses, the beach (we live on quiet water, so miss the waves and long stretches of sand, and need a regular fix), sailing and boating, swimming, kayaking, cycling, hiking, wilderness camping, photography, and writing. Sonia has run Air BnBs from two of her properties.

In 2024/25 we travelled through Queensland, New Zealand, China, and the South Pacific, cared for 10 homes and gardens, and a menagerie of pets and livestock. In 2025/26, while concentrating on renovating our homes, we have taken several breaks for return sits on Queensland's Sunshine Coast and North Stradbroke Island.

We grew up in the country; Sonia in NSW's Hunter Valley, Chris on New Zealand's South Island. So, we're practical and resilient country kids! Until five years ago, and for 20 years, Sonia owned and managed an off-grid, 110acre property; raised African Bore goats and alpacas, agisted horses, rescued donkeys, grew veggies, enjoyed farm fresh eggs, and Air BnB'd a purpose-built tiny home. Chris is a tradie and has owner-built several homes, including two container homes and turned an historic Church into a magnificent private residence.

We are both capable and confident in most environments, including off-grid, and with farm equipment, tanks, pumps, solar, enviro-toilets, and pools, and we're not phased by remote locations, unsealed roads or tracks, wildlife, or crawlies.
