About this sitter
Hello there! I am a 67 year old single female. I am very active (I play tennis every day, enjoyed triathlons and endurance sports up until I took up tennis during COVID when they canceled our races). I still work as a veterinarian in clinical small animal practice at the NJ shore. I lived in Southern California for 28 years prior to coming back to NJ to be close to my 97 year old mom. I have had so many amazing dogs and cats in my life, both personally and professionally. Years ago I was very involved in equestrian sports, mainly dressage; so I am very comfortable around horses.
Why they want to house sit
Travel and explore more of the off the beaten path areas as well as the more known. More of an immersion into local culture. As s a veterinary student I often house and pet sat. Now over 30 years later, what better way to return to long stretches of getting to know about a local culture by living there!
Their experience
I am very experienced with many different animals. I have pet and/or house sat for a large number and assortment of animals, often with health conditions that required treatments. I'm a veterinarian. I am a board-certified Diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in both canine and feline practice.
In additon, I'm a single homeowner and enjoy my home projects and gardening very much.
