About this sitter

We are Karl and Katarina, a professional couple aged 38 who both work remotely full-time. Karl runs two businesses in athlete development and sports-related experience design, and Katarina is a writer with a background in education and coaching.

We are currently based in the UK and are taking on house sits across the country as well as abroad, with a view to spending more time in different locations and experiencing areas properly rather than passing through briefly. We are particularly drawn to calm, well-cared-for homes in rural or coastal settings, as well as longer stays where we can properly settle and maintain a consistent presence in the property.

We are non-smokers, very tidy, and respectful of other people’s homes, and we value clear communication and trust on both sides.

Why they want to house sit

We want to house sit because it aligns naturally with our current lifestyle and way of working. As remote workers, we have the flexibility to live in different places, and house sitting allows us to do that in a meaningful way while also providing a real service to homeowners.

We also enjoy the responsibility of caring for homes and animals, and we like the idea of giving owners peace of mind that their property is being looked after properly while they are away. For us, it’s not just accommodation — it’s about trust, care, and contributing positively.

Their experience

We are relatively new to formal house sitting platforms, but we are not new to house sitting itself. We have experience looking after homes and pets for friends and personal contacts over the years.

We have now begun taking on sits through platforms and have several confirmed and upcoming assignments, which will allow us to build formal references. We are also registered on Mindahome, where we have secured multiple sits in progress, and we are actively building experience in a structured way.
