Describe yourself and what you are looking for in a house sit *
We are a small, responsible family based in the UK. I work as a teacher, and we really value calm, nature-filled environments, especially during school holidays. My 11-year-old son absolutely loves animals and really thrives when he’s around them. As a family, we are respectful, tidy, and mindful of other people’s homes. We’re looking for a house sit where we can enjoy a peaceful setting while caring for animals as if they were our own.

Why they want to house sit

We’ve spent the past year travelling as a family project, during which we visited 17 countries. It was an incredible experience, but it also meant we couldn’t have a pet of our own during that time. House sitting now feels like a lovely way to reconnect with that sense of companionship, while also being helpful and supportive to others.
I work as a teacher, as well as a holistic practitioner in Bristol and Bath, so we are mostly available during school half terms. For many house sits, it would mainly be me and my son who are available, although my husband may join us when possible.
My son has a very natural connection with animals our friends often jokingly call him a “dog and cat whisperer” because animals seem to trust him very quickly. As a family, we enjoy slower, more meaningful stays, and caring for animals is something that comes very naturally to us.

Their experience

Yes, we regularly look after our friend’s beagle when she is away, as well as our neighbour’s cockapoo. We’re comfortable with feeding routines, walks, and giving animals attention and companionship. Through our travels and these experiences, we’ve become quite adaptable and confident in caring for different pets.

What can they bring to the assignment

We will treat your home with respect and your pets with genuine care and attention. We are reliable, communicative, and calm. My son in particular brings a lot of warmth and enthusiasm,he truly connects with animals. We are also available during school holidays, especially half term, which gives us flexibility.
My husband would also join us for house sits. As I am new to the platform, I would appreciate clarification on any limits regarding the number of people allowed.
