Mature couple - very flexible with dates - experienced with cats, dogs, fish, chickens

About this sitter

We are a mature, semi-retired, active, fit and healthy couple from regional Western Australia, Peter (71) and Victoria aka Vicky (65), we enjoy daily long walks and we are healthy gardeners and good cooks, particularly Peter, wok on!

Last August, our wonderful Scottish Fold cat, Jama, who thought he was a human, passed away after sharing our lives for 14 years and then Tanya, our Border Collie for 12 years became unwell and we lost her, too.

As we are now responsibility free it is time for us to get away!

Why they want to house sit

With the flexibility to stay in places for longer periods, rather than a couple of weeks we want to do just that and avoid the tourist areas.

We are looking for a way to travel and blend into local communities and experience ways of living that are different to our own.

Their experience

No, not yet. But, we do bring decades of personal experience having owned and renovated our own homes (with gardens) for many years and cared for many pets.

What can they bring to the assignment

Obviously, we have maturity but also responsibility and honesty. We also know how we would like our home cared for and this is how we would treat your home. Plus, Peter has always had a good bonding and rapport with animals. I would have trouble giving our cat medication but Peter only had to call him and he would take the medication out of his hand aka Pet Whisperer! So your pet would be taken care of as if it was our own.
