Hi!

We’re Jo & Scott, an Australian animal-loving couple in our late 40s, travelling the world indefinitely and loving every moment of it. We’re house-proud, reliable, thoughtful, respectful and exceptional communicators.

Scott is a Programmer and an incredibly gifted short story writer. I’m a Speaking Confidence Coach, Storyteller and Talk writer. Our work is flexible and home-based, which means we’re present, attentive, and able to give animals and homes the love and care they deserve.

We really love being in nature and while we love being outdoors; hiking and discovering new places, we’re natural homebodies who genuinely enjoy caring for a space. We simply love puttering about the house in a quiet and nurturing environment with some furry friends!

We really appreciate the opportunity housesitting provides - to have unique, rich experiences and connect with good people and we don't take the care entrusted to us lightly.

Why they want to house sit

There’s something very precious and human about caring for someone’s animals and home while they’re away. It feels like a beautiful exchange — one built on respect, communication and shared goodwill.

We’re drawn to housesitting because it allows us to experience places in a way that feels real and meaningful, rather than passing through as tourists. Being nomadic, we really appreciate the sense of "home" housesitting provides and we love settling into the rhythm of a community and becoming part of everyday life, even if it's only for a short while.

Some of our most wonderful experiences have come through the connections we’ve made while housesitting; the connection with owners, the conversations we've had with neighbours or locals, being able to care for and love gorgeous, funny animals with distinct personalities and living in homes filled with story and character. These are the experiences we have through housesitting that we just wouldn’t have otherwise.

For us, housesitting is an opportunity to immerse ourselves in culture, be of service, contribute meaningfully, and experience a place with greater depth, connection and appreciation.

Their experience

We have been living a beautiful mix of housesitting and Workaways across the UK, Mexico, Ecuador and Guatemala. We love immersing ourselves in new places while maintaining calm, nurturing homes wherever we are.

We both share a deep love of animals and feel genuinely honoured to care for them. We have milked and herded goats, cared for dogs, cats, chickens and birds. We’re attentive to routines, comfortable with multiple animals, and take the time to ensure each animal feels safe, relaxed and loved.

A huge amount of care and heart. We each bring deep and rich life experience, along with resourcefulness, a positive can-do attitude and a natural sense of chutzpah.
