About this sitter
My name is Karen and I am an independent writer and reporter. I love traveling with my husband, Jose, who is a registered dietitians. We're Americans, but have spent years living abroad and road-tripping throughout the U.S. We love to travel, and are looking for unique housesits that would allow us a good excuse to visit curious places that are on our bucket list!
Why they want to house sit
Housesitting is a really fun way to visit new cities and communities, or even test out if a new place is perhaps the right fit for you to move to. I've certainly utilized house-sitting opportunities to test out if I wanted to live in a new community, or not.
Their experience
Yes! Some of our house-sits include a lovely bunny named, of course, Bun Snuggles in Minneapolis. We also cared for a geriatric dog in Bend, Oregon and an outdoor cat named Jumpy in Minnesota. Our shortest house-sit has been five days or so, and our longest has been a month.
What can they bring to the assignment
We bring experience, knowledge of caring for our own cats, and respect for your home and lifestyle. We both have valid U.S. passports, and are happy to travel. We both also speak Spanish, Jose is fluent while I am intermediate. Finally, Jose is a fan of tinkering with things, so he can keep an eye on various systems on a property and fix problems as they come up.
