Landscaper/writer from Australia looking for long term stays

Hello,

I am a 43 year old writer and landscaper from Australia. I am looking for long term house sits that will allow me the time and space to work on some larger stories that I have been chipping away at while building my landscaping business.

Why they want to house sit

I want to house sit because throughout my 20s and 30s i travelled a lot and found that I love spending significant time in foreign places to both settle in and get lost in new cultures.

I like house sitting because it offers a homely environment, mostly with pets that I can play with, talk to, and look after.

Their experience

Years ago I was lucky enough to get a long term house sit, and enjoyed the experience immensely.

Since then I am frequently called upon by friends and friends of friends to house sit, pet sit, and baby sit.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am a clean, courteous person who respects that i am a visitor and temporary caretaker of someone's home.

I have a wide variety of building and landscaping skills and can fix and assess most common problems around a house. I'm also a good landscape designer and love the process of designing spaces for plants to grow into. This is where I am pushing my business towards as I get older and the idea of pushing barrows of concrete rubble and dirt all day is getting exhausting.

Otherwise, I have an affinity with animals and enjoy caring for them. There is a mutual wellbeing that comes with looking after animals that feels deeply human.
