About this sitter
Hey! I'm Leah but many call me Lulu.
I am a travel-enamored remote worker and animal lover mostly experienced with dogs and cats. I find joy in the small things when travel and love experiencing new places (and re-experiencing familiar places, too).
Taking care of animals has always been part of my life and I used to have my own dog that unfortunately passed away, so bartering has been a great solution for my globetrotting needs...and my wallet!

Why they want to house sit
More travel and more animals!
I find being able to talk to locals beforehand and having an animal companion by my side to be extremely helpful not just logistically, but also emotionally.
I'm on the introverted side and love hanging out with pets just as much as I love touring. Having both at the same time is a win-win for
me.

Fantastic sitter
Leah was a fantastic sitter. A great communicator from the start, and thorough and organised ahead of the sit. She wanted to know how our cats enjoyed to play, liked being groomed etc - not just the basics of feeding and watering. She kept us updated with daily photos and videos. We are so thankful
We are so thankful to have had Leah sit for our quartet of cats. She did an amazing job keeping them happy and relaxed and as well as taking care of their basic needs, she made sure she offered them playtime each day as well. This is something that I don’t always have time for and so I am sure they appreciated it very much! I personally didn’t get to meet Leah but we had an in-depth video call several months ahead of the sit and we had a nice rapport from that moment onwards. My husband was able to meet with Leah just before the sit to give her a key and a bit of a tour around our house and I hope that was helpful for Leah. Leah provided us with updates daily and lots of amazing photographs (she is a great photographer) which was very much appreciated. We came back to a very clean and tidy house as well as helpful notes about where she had left things. Honestly we couldn’t recommend Leah more and she would be welcome back any time!

Fantastic sitter
Leah was a fantastic sitter. It was a long sit and she was great at communicating regularly and sending photos and videos. She dealt with minor issues and our cat was extremely happy and relaxed upon return from holiday. Our home was clean and tidy. I’d definitely recommend her and she’s welcome to return any time back in the UK.

Great sitter
Leah was a great sitter for our two cats! She was a great communicator and organized during the run-up to the sit, asking great questions and responding quickly to our own queries. Highly recommend
Leah was the perfect pet/house sitter. My cat was well-fed and appears well-cared for. His coat is soft n' shiny, so I know she brushed him often, which he loves. She sent me numerous photos and videos of him playing with her. She washed and replaced all the bedding, bath and kitchen towels. My home even looks cleaner than when I left for my trip! I highly recommend her.

I could tell Lulu was a very experienced pet sitter from the detailed questions she asked me during our interview. I was thrilled when she accepted the house sit. Lulu is very organized and we set up an agreed upon schedule for her to send video and photo updates. I could tell Ohno really liked her from the videos she sent of them playing. There were no issues while she stayed at the house. I came home to a very contented kitty, a clean house and freshly washed sheets and linens. Choose Lulu. You won't regret it.

Truly skilled pet sitter
Leah (Lulu) is a truly skilled pet sitter, a super conscientious house sitter, and a joy to partner with. Setting the scene for this review, our male cat needed dental surgery three days before Lulu arrived for a month-long stint. I advertised that, outside of needing some medicines, my cats were low drama and companionable. Given the dental surgery, my male cat, Bustopher, was grumpy, hissy, and not eating when Lulu started her stay. She was admirably communicative and solution oriented as we negotiated the best course of action through a distance. Working in partnership with Lulu, we were able to triage Bustopher and get him to a stable and comfortable place within the first week. He was “as advertised” the remainder of the stay, but honestly, Lulu’s background and experience was truly advantageous as we decided the best course of action day by day. In addition to being amazing in a high-stress situation, Lulu also shared fun photos of our cats and kept us apprised of their antics on a weekly basis. She took great care of the house, and the kitties were obviously well loved and cared for in our absence. She also left the house in great shape. Overall, Lulu is an amazing pet and house sitter. We enthusiastically recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled, caring, and responsible home and pet sitter.

Leah (Lulu) was a great communicator, both before and during her stay with Weezie. She asked great questions before her stay, giving me peace of mind that her primary concern during her stay would be caring for my pet. And that was definitely the case. When Weezie had an unexpected incident the first day I was away, Leah handled it calmly, demonstrating great care and concern for Weezie's well-being. She sent photos and updates throughout her stay, and I came home to a happy pup and a clean home. I would definitely recommend Leah to others!

Fantastic
Leah (Lulu) was a fantastic house sitter! She was extremely prepared from the start by asking a checklist of questions during our interview. She made sure to arrive on time for the sit (she actually got into town the night before) and took a lot notes as we showed her around the house before we left. Our cats were well taken care of and Lulu sent us daily pictures and videos. The cats had a lot of play time with Lulu!!! There were a few small mechanical issues at the house, and Lulu dealt with them very well, which we greatly appreciated. The house was left in excellent shape, very clean and tidy. If we have the chance, we would definitely ask Lulu to housesit again!!!

Wonderful cat sitter
Leah was a wonderful cat sitter. She was super organized and had a great list of questions to ask me during the pre-sit interview so that she had all the information to be set up for the best cat sitting experience as possible. She was clear, communicative, responsive, and punctual. She sent me updates with cat photos regularly while I was traveling and they were some of the best cat photos ever :) She played with Val (my kitty) and gave him lots of love. She left my apartment in clean and tidy condition. I recommend her for your next pet/house sit without reservation.

Consider yourself lucky to get her
Lulu took care of our 3 year old, highly demanding, active feline child for one week. We've had a lot of great sitters, but Lulu wasn't just great, she was also a blessing- and that's a first for us. There were many qualities that made her stand out but her taking her responsibility seriously was one of them. One of the ways she did this was by surprising us with taking Pepper on a walk twice in one day just so she could get used to and learn how to walk him. Sitters typically do what we expect and that's walk him minimally and often times they do even less than what's preferred. Lulu also connected well with Pepper and allowed him the time he needed to get used to her. She communicated well, sending daily pictures and videos. And she was super pleasant and easy to work with. Consider yourself lucky to get her!

Incredible house sitter
Leah was an incredible house and pup sitter. Truly could not have asked for better. During the initial meeting she asked thoughtful questions about our pup's needs (numerous that I hadn't even considered!) and was consistent and clear in communicating leading up to our trip. Our house and pup were super well taken care of and it felt great to be able to travel knowing the house and dog were in such good hands. Would recommend Leah 110%
