Calm, responsible family with two young children

About this sitter

We are a calm, responsible family with two young children (2.5 years and 6 months old), travelling slowly and intentionally while working remotely.

Our way of travelling is not about constant movement, but about truly settling into one place, becoming part of the rhythm of a home and caring for it as if it were our own (as we rent out an apartment ourselves, we know what different types of tenants can be like).

We love nature, quiet surroundings and a structured daily routine. At the same time, we enjoy occasional outings, local cafés and good food, especially when they are part of everyday life rather than city hustle.

Having lived in cities in the past, we now consciously choose more peaceful environments – which makes us attentive, respectful and very present sitters.

Why they want to house sit

Before our children will go to school and we’ll be settling down, we would like to use the freedom and flexibility we still have to experience living abroad and explore other places that could become a future home for us as a family.
Sitting House is a way for us to provide our children with a home during that time, while also being able to continue working remotely in our jobs and travel cost-efficient (which makes quite a difference with children).

Their experience

Animals have been part of our lives forever. We both grew up very rurally with dogs and cats, and Ariane had her own horse for many years. Being around animals feels completely natural to us and is shaped by calmness, attentiveness, and a strong sense of responsibility. We truly enjoy their company and lovingly and reliably care for their needs.

What can they bring to the assignment

Because of our children, we have a structured and peaceful daily routine. This means we spend a lot of time at home and in nature — ideal for giving pets security, closeness, and attention as well. At the same time, we place great value on cleanliness, order, and treating other people’s homes with genuine respect. We understand how much trust housesitting requires and treat every home with great care and appreciation.
