About this sitter

We’re a British family of animal lovers with a passion for travel, nature, and discovering new places. We currently live in the Middle East, and during the hotter summer months my two children and I usually head to Europe while my husband stays behind for work.

I grew up on a farm that also served as a sanctuary for stray and rescued animals, so caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. From mucking out stables and helping deliver newborn animals to hand-feeding rescues, I was very hands-on growing up and gained plenty of practical experience caring for both animals and people.

As a family, we love exploring the outdoors, trying new foods and cuisines, and meeting people from different backgrounds. One of our favourite things about travelling is learning how others live and seeing the world from a different perspective.

My children are 12 and 10, and although they’re young, they’re incredibly sensible, intuitive, and always keen to get involved and help wherever they can. They’re confident, adaptable, and have great common sense, but most importantly, they bring plenty of humour and enthusiasm to every adventure we take together.

Why they want to house sit

We love house sitting because it combines so many of the things we value most—animals, travel, and the opportunity to experience life as a local rather than as tourists.

Their experience

Yes, absolutely. Animals have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm that also operated as a sanctuary for stray and rescued animals, so I gained hands-on experience from a young age caring for animals of all ages and temperaments. From feeding, grooming, and exercising animals to helping with newborns and administering basic care, being around animals has always been second nature to me.

As a family, we currently have three dogs and one cat of our own, who are very much part of our family. While my children and I are away house sitting during the summer, my husband stays home and takes care of them, ensuring they remain in their familiar environment and routine.

What can they bring to the assignment

Whether it’s energetic dogs, independent cats, or animals that need a little extra patience and care, we are comfortable adapting to their individual personalities and routines. We understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, loved, and settled while their owners are away, and we take that responsibility very seriously. Our goal is always to provide the same level of care and affection that pets receive from their own family.
