About this sitter
I am retired, active, and in my mid-sixties and have completed housesits with multiple callbacks. I have been to over 40 countries in the past 10 years. When I travel I like to stay, eat, and meet the locals to get the true flavor of an area. I am looking for someone that is honest about their sit and their animals (if part of the sit) and considerate.
Why they want to house sit
I love the opportunity to meet new people, their animals (I have met many new animal friends through pet sitting, each with their own personalities), and sit their home, with the ability to both help someone follow their dreams or needs, knowing their home and pets are in good hands, while also giving me an opportunity to settle into an area, and of course the added bonus of saving money.
Their experience
I have successfully completed eight house sits for five different families over the past thirteen years. One of which was earlier this year (Please read their review).
What can they bring to the assignment
Maturity, caring, adaptability, cleanliness and an open and honest personality. I have been a home owner for over 35 years and done a lot of the upkeep and repairs myself, and was a superhost for Airbnb, which allows me to know first hand what it is like to turn over control of most people's, most valuable asset, to an unknown person. Our family included a yellow lab name Kahuna (first and only family), who is on my screen saver with my two (now adult) children.

Todd was the perfect person to take care of our home and our Chip. He was super conscientious about walking Chip twice a day and even let Chip pick his routes. ☺️. They showed up an hour before we left and stayed the night as we got in late from our business trip. He took care with his feeding routine as well as keeping our plants watered as it was quite warm that week. He even took Chip on a couple of excursions which he loved. Our home was taken care of impeccably and we’re so happy Todd was our sitter for the week. We’d gladly have him back anytime.
