Retired early from elementary teaching, ready to travel and help you do the same!

About this sitter

In June 2025, I retired early at the age of 55 from elementary teaching. My plan was in place to live in Ecuador and I made that happen for four months in 2026 and plan to return. Having downsized and learning to live the nomad life I am looking forward to traveling and helping others to do the same by taking care of their home and pets.

Why they want to house sit

Housesitting brings me to beautiful places and spaces while helping others as I care for their home and their pets. I am living a bit of a nomad life and housesitting affords me opportunities to explore different cities, states and countries.

Their experience

Yes, I am an experienced Housesitter. While putting myself through college, I was a nanny and worked in catering as well as house and pet sitting often. Over the years I have helped friends and others when opportunities have presented themselves. May through November 2026 I am housesitting either for pay and/or trade for care of home and/or pets through connections I have already, referrals from friends and family and now through online platforms.

What can they bring to the assignment

What I bring to house and pet sitting is respect for those who own the home and the home itself. I pride myself on making a very low impact on the home as I travel light and appreciate being outside where I prefer to be as much as possible. My father taught me well… "Leave it cleaner than you found it." I apply his words to many experiences, especially when in a home that belongs to others.
