About this sitter

Hello from Lorna and Andrew!

We are a professional, responsible and caring couple from London who genuinely enjoy looking after homes and animals.

Lorna has worked as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist for over 20 years, and Andrew recently retired from a long career as a social housing lawyer. Throughout our professional lives we have been entrusted with significant responsibility, and we bring the same level of care, reliability and attention to detail to every house-sitting assignment.

Over the years we have regularly cared for friends' and family's homes, looking after dogs, cats, gardens and household routines while they have been away. We understand that inviting someone into your home requires trust, and we treat every property with the same respect and care that we would our own.

We are both lifelong animal lovers and have experience caring for pets with different personalities, routines and needs. Whether it is daily dog walks, administering medication, keeping a nervous cat company or simply maintaining established routines, we are happy to provide the attentive care that helps pets feel secure while their owners are away.

As homeowners ourselves, we appreciate the importance of maintaining a property to a high standard. We are tidy, organised and practical, and are comfortable managing gardens, handling unexpected issues and keeping homeowners updated with regular messages, photographs and video calls if desired.

Now that we have greater flexibility to travel, we are looking forward to combining our love of animals, new places and helping others through house sitting. We would be delighted to care for your home and pets as if they were our own.

Why they want to house sit

House sitting for us, offers a more authentic way to visit a city rather than stay in a 'tourist hotspot'. To have the privilege of staying in a residents home, we feel that we would gain a more insightful view of a city/town and the surrounding culture.

Their experience

We have certainly been house and pet sitters for many friends over the years (we are even 'tropical fish sitting' next week) however we have not yet performed house sits for people that we have not met or through an agency although with so much private experience already under our belts, we do not feel at all concerned and are confident that we could manage any eventuality.
