About this sitter

Hi, I'm Rain (they/them), I'm 20 years old and I love animals! I currently have two cats of my own, and in the past I have raised goats, as well as hamsters, hermit crabs, and a variety of fish. I am a very patient and kind individual, my calm energy has let me gain the trust of many animals.

Why they want to house sit

I love house sitting and pet sitting because I get to cultivate a relationship with different pets and gain their trust. I also appreciate the ability to set my own schedule to what fits in with my life.

Their experience

I was a member of 4H for 9 years, in which I was a member of the Pack and Dairy goat projects. It was through this program that I was able to raise two Nigerian Dwarf Goats of my own. On the same farm I also got experience working with chickens, alpacas, and other breeds of goats. I also spent two years volunteering at my local zoo where I got to work with a variety of exotic animals. It was here that I learned the most about proper ways to clean animal enclosures, as well as creating enrichment for different species to keep them entertained and their minds sharp.

What can they bring to the assignment

I have 9+ years of experience and a deep seated love for all animals. When I have pet sit in the past I have done so for cats, reptiles, fish, and rodents. I have also watered plants as needed, as well as bringing in mail.
