Hi, we're Emma and Chris, a friendly Yorkshire couple who love caring for homes and discovering new places.

House sitting has become a wonderful part of our lifestyle, giving us the chance to experience different communities while helping homeowners feel confident that their home is in safe and caring hands. We genuinely enjoy looking after a property and always treat every home with the same respect and care we would our own.

Our backgrounds in hospitality, guesthouse management, customer service, and property care have made us organised, practical, and dependable. House and pet sitting has become much more than a way to travel for us, it’s something we genuinely love and hope will remain part of our lives for many years to come. Some of our happiest memories have come from the assignments we've completed, whether that's exploring a new area, experiencing life in a different community, caring for wonderful animals, or building friendships with homeowners along the way.

We are both huge animal lovers and always have been. From walking a neighbour's energetic Collie to spending time watching the Herdwick sheep that lived alongside us in the Lake District, we simply enjoy being around animals and getting to know their individual personalities.

We're also naturally curious people who enjoy learning new things and embracing different lifestyles, routines, and responsibilities. Every assignment teaches us something new, and that's one of the aspects we value most about this way of life.

At the moment, we are working towards our long-term dream of owning our own guesthouse. As a result, we are particularly interested in longer-term house sitting, caretaking, property management, and security roles within the UK. These opportunities allow us to offer our experience, reliability, and practical skills while continuing to save towards our goal. Having previously lived in and managed a guesthouse ourselves, we feel very comfortable taking on positions that require a high level of responsibility, trust, and day-to-day property oversight.

Our professional background is in hospitality and property management. Together, we managed a successful 4-star guesthouse in Scarborough and also worked as part of the live-in team at a luxury 5-star country house hotel in the Lake District. These roles required exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation, responsibility, guest care, and property upkeep.

We have cared for a wide variety of animals, including many different dog breeds, cats, reptiles, fish, birds, rodents, plants and gardens. Our experience also includes caring for street cats during assignments abroad. In addition to pet care, we have been entrusted with the security and maintenance of numerous homes, gardens, and indoor plants, ensuring everything is well cared for while owners are away.
