About this sitter
We are a family of four (Michael, Nicole and our two daughters aged 8 and 6) who love animals, nature and experiencing life in different places. We both work remotely and homeschool our children, which gives us the flexibility to spend extended time in different areas.
We are looking for housesits where we can become part of a home for a while, care for animals as if they were our own, and enjoy the local area at a slower pace. We especially enjoy places where we can spend time outdoors, go for walks and experience everyday life in a new community.
Why they want to house sit
Housesitting allows us to combine several things we value: spending time with animals, discovering new places and giving our children the opportunity to experience different cultures and languages through everyday life.
Housesitting is a wonderful way for us to live more locally rather than just visit places as tourists.
Their experience
Yes. We have cared for many different homes and animals through housesitting, including dogs, cats, chickens and horses. We have experience with multiple animal households and understand the importance of keeping routines consistent and respecting each animal’s individual personality and needs.
We have looked after both young and older animals, energetic dogs as well as more sensitive ones, and we are comfortable with responsibilities such as medication, feeding routines, walks and general care.
What can they bring to the assignment
We bring reliability, flexibility and a genuine love for animals. As we both work from home and homeschool our children, there is usually someone around during the day, while still respecting animals’ routines and need for their own space.
Our daughters have grown up around animals and are gentle, respectful and used to adapting their interaction to the animals’ needs.
We treat every home with care and respect and understand the trust involved when someone leaves their home and beloved animals in our hands.

We have literally just got home to 2 very happy dogs who have been so well looked after. They have spoilt by the young girls Anna(6) and Alida (8). I do not know who's going to miss each other more, the girls or the dogs. During the 3 weeks away we had regular uodates and videos showing the dogs having so much fun. In safe hands
Ruby loved being looked after by Nicole and her two lovely girls. I think she had the time of her life! They are really nice family. We had a nice evening together before we left so we could get to know each other, and I felt totally happy about leaving Ruby and my house insafe hands. Nicole`s communication was great both before and during the sit. I hope you will be able to come again

Highly recommend
We had Nicole and her beautiful children stay with us, Michael couldn’t attend due to other commitments, so l can only write about mum and daughters. We can say we had a very pleasant stay with Nicole and the girls. They looked after Harley very well and Harley enjoyed playing in the woods and the parks with the girls. We came back from having a relaxing holiday to find the house lovely and clean, Nicole is very organised and knew what she was doing. Nicole gave us updates each day on the daily adventures. We would highly recommend the family stay anytime.

Nicole, Michael, Alida and Anna are a lovely family. Great at communicating from the outset and took great care of Brac and Blue. Alida and Anna were amazing with the boys. All the updates we had showed the children and dogs really bonded - so much so we thought the dogs may not want us to come home! I would 100% recommend anyone to have the family stay and take care of their pets. They left us feeling at ease and that nothing was a problem over the 7 weeks. We would love to have them again!

Brilliant
Michael and Nicola were brilliant. They came with their 2 little girls and adjusted to the property really well. The pets were smothered with love and the house was beautifully clean when we returned. Michael took care of the pool and it was lovely clear and clean when we returned. They even cooked a tasty meal for when we got back. Highly recommend their family to look after any home and animals. Would love to have them back in future, even just for a visit and not a sit. Lovely family!

Outstanding sitters
Nicole and Michael are outstanding sitters who exceeded our expectations from start to finish. It was wonderful for us to have a family with children in our home, who enjoyed our home and community. Most importantly, they enjoyed taking care of our dog Murphy...who was included in virtually all their activities. Many of which with photos they sent to us. Along with a very positive house and pet sitting experience, we have made great new friends who we hope to see in the future.

I cannot speak highly enough of Nicole and Michael
I cannot speak highly enough of how fantastic Nicole and Michael were. We have dogs, chickens and lots of horses, everything was looked after so well. Nicole and her two little girls really enjoyed the horses and did such a good job, one of the girls even came up with a super name for our new foal!. When we got back all the animals were really happy, the house was immaculate and there was a delicious curry made as well! I would be delighted if Nicole and her family ever had the opportunity to sit for us again.
