I’m Rebecca, a 34-year-old dual American/Italian citizen, remote worker, college educated, and animal lover.

I’m naturally introverted and happiest with a quiet morning, a good cup of coffee, and a furry friend. Since I work from home, they’ll have plenty of company, attention, and affection throughout the day.

I genuinely enjoy caring for homes and animals as a way to connect with people from different backgrounds and experience life in new places. I’m warm, friendly, and respectful of other people’s spaces and routines.

I’ve always had a soft spot for animals.

I live a quiet, healthy lifestyle. I don’t smoke or vape, don’t use drugs, or drink. Outside of work, I enjoy quality coffee, sunsets by the water, learning languages, and listening to podcasts and audiobooks about personal growth.

One of my favorite parts of traveling is meeting new people and sharing stories. I love exchanging travel tips, language-learning strategies, and learning about different cultures. I especially enjoy meaningful conversations about life, growth, and new perspectives. Italy holds a very special place in my heart.

Professionally, my background is in customer service and administration. Today, I work as a Virtual Assistant and Genealogist.

I also volunteer remotely with RISE Travel Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to creating a more just and equitable world through travel education. RISE encourages travelers to think more deeply about the social, cultural, economic, and environmental impact of travel and provides education and resources to help people travel in more responsible, ethical, and sustainable ways. As part of my volunteer work, I help maintain and update the organization’s website and support its online presence.

Why they want to house sit

I love the opportunity to experience a new place from a more local perspective, immerse myself in everyday life, and build genuine connections with people and their communities. I especially enjoy cultural and language exchanges, sharing stories and travel experiences, and learning about different ways of life. I hope to expand my international community while creating meaningful connections along the way.

I’m naturally quiet, responsible, and respectful, and because I work remotely from home, I can provide your pets with plenty of companionship throughout the day. They won’t be left alone for long periods.

I’m also very mindful that being welcomed into someone’s home is a privilege and a responsibility. I’ll treat your home with care, respect your routines and instructions, and make sure everything is kept clean and in good order.

Most importantly, I want you to feel completely comfortable while you’re away.

My goal is for you to return home knowing that your pets were happy, your home was well cared for, and everything was exactly as you left it.

Reliability, responsibility, and clear communication are values I bring to every commitment. When I care for someone’s home or pets, I treat them with the same respect, attention, and consideration I would want for my own.
I first began caring for children at 14, and over the years this experience taught me much more than simply looking after others. I learned how to be dependable, follow routines, keep a household organized, coordinate schedules, and pay attention to the small details that help a home run smoothly. I’ve also always been comfortable caring for animals as part of the household.

I spent six months as a dog walker in Zurich, Switzerland, caring for a lovable medium-sized Briard mix. His owners entrusted me with a key to their apartment, and I visited him every day for his walk and companionship. I was also responsible for administering his nose medication, which gave me experience following specific care instructions and medication routines.

I’m happy to help with the practical things that make being away from home easier, too, collecting mail, bringing in packages, watering plants, taking out bins, or simply keeping an eye on the home and letting you know if anything needs attention. I’m also happy to be a friendly presence in the neighborhood and communicate with neighbors when appropriate.

I’m naturally clean, organized, and respectful of other people’s spaces. I prefer a calm and tidy environment and will leave your home in the same condition. I genuinely appreciate detailed instructions because every home and every pet has their own routines, preferences, and personality.

I understand that inviting someone into your home requires a great deal of trust. That’s why I value open and thorough communication from the beginning. I’m happy to send regular updates, photos, and messages so you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing everything is going well.

I’m also very adaptable and happy to accommodate your preferences and routines. Whether your pet needs lots of attention and playtime, a specific walking schedule, medication, or simply a quiet companion nearby, I’m happy to follow your instructions and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.
