About this sitter

I’m a calm, responsible, and animal-loving person who feels most at home in peaceful places surrounded by nature. I enjoy company but am most certainly also comfortable being alone also for longer periods of time. I speak German (native) and English( fluent) and am about A2 in Spanish which gets my by in most situations so far.
As for freetime activities hiking is my #1 and I love to explore new areas.
I am trained as a medical assistant but have switched more towards healthtech and healthcare administration lately.
However, if your animals have medical needs, I might have some transferable skills or knowledge.

Why they want to house sit

Although I grew up in the city, I’ve always loved animals and being in nature. Now that I work remotely, I prefer spending my time travelling in a slow way so I can fully immerse myself in the local landscape and culture.

While it’s certainly a responsibility, I’ve found house sitting to be very fulfilling and meaningful so far and prefer it over a rushed short term vacation doing sightseeing or likewise. I feel more connected.

Their experience

My first house sitting experience was in 2023, when I met a couple in the Andalusia/Almería region who needed help looking after their house, animals, garden, pool and Airbnb while they were away for the summer. Since then, I’ve taken care of their place several times and have also started looking after some of their neighbours’ homes and animals.

So I feel I have a fair amount of experience while of course there is always more to learn and every house sit is different with its own requirements. For that reason, I value straightforward communication so we can make sure expectations are clear and met in the best way possible and so everyone feels comfortable and safe with the arrangement.
