Reliability & reassurance –experienced sitter + emergency medical tech looking to expand my horizons!

About this sitter

Hello! My name is Andrey Oleksiv, I'm an emergency medical technician from the east coast of the United States. I've had a life-long passion for taking care of animals and people, and by extension, all of their properties and possessions. Recently, I decided that I wanted to spend more time traveling the world and experiencing new things, and I figured I'd leverage all my experience as a sitter to help forge my dreams into reality!

Why they want to house sit

Simply-put, being able to house-sit all across the globe is an amazing way to be able to experience otherwise expensive destinations. At this point in my life, I'm dedicated to the opportunities that allow me to see more of our world and live the climates and regions wherever I'm staying. I love connecting with all different cultures and all kinds of people! I'm incredibly lucky to live a life where I can pursue this, and in every gig I work, I am absolutely dedicated to making sure everything goes smoothly; not only so that you can remain confident that your home and pets are in good hands, but so that I can continue living this lifestyle!

Their experience

Most people believe that house-sitting is an easy gig that doesn't require much attention, but as someone whose been house-sitting for years now, I understand the complexities between each home and the concerns of each homeowner! My experience spans years, starting with accompanying my mother to her housekeeping gigs and helping her out where I could, to accepting neighbors' requests to help them out, all the way into launching a rover account as a sitter! I've been on rover for almost three years now, but before then, I was practically my extended-families and neighborhood's designated sitter! I also assisted my father with his landscaping job, so I'm no stranger to yard work or long-term maintenance. I have more professional experience in cafes, hostels and retail-shops where my duties included cleaning and taking care of the space! Across all the homeowners I've helped, I've dealt with many particularities, and I'm confident in my abilities to be able to handle them – I'm incredibly excited to find my next gig!

What can they bring to the assignment

Although I have the experience and the skillset, I believe my most important quality is my dedication towards each role. As someone with pets whose left home, I understand the feeling of anxiety when you don't know what's going on with your pets or home, and no request would be too much for me if it meant reassuring you! I've always been an independent person who has always been able to handle themselves and figure things out, and at the end of the day, my priority would always be total transparency, and ensuring the experience is free of stress and swimming for you!
