Hello! We’re Geoff and Mandy — lifelong travelers with a deep love for experiencing places not as tourists, but as temporary locals. We believe the best way to truly know a place is to live in it: to settle into the rhythms of a neighborhood, shop at the local market, discover favorite cafés, and become part of everyday life, even if only for a little while.

For the past several years, our lives have been split between adventure and intentional living. We spend roughly six months of the year aboard our sailboat, usually exploring the Caribbean, and the other six months traveling the world. At the moment, Europe is calling to us, and we’re excited to immerse ourselves more deeply through house sitting.

House sitting feels like a natural fit for how we move through the world. We understand that opening your home — and trusting someone with beloved pets — is deeply personal, and we take that responsibility seriously. We are respectful, tidy, dependable, and genuinely enjoy caring for homes and animals. Over the years, we’ve shared our lives with a wonderfully eclectic mix of pets and animals, from cats and dogs to reptiles, chickens, goats, pigs, and even horses, so caring for animals feels less like a task and more like home. Why they want to house sit

We want to house and pet sit because it brings together two things we genuinely care about: looking after animals and respecting someone’s home as if it were our own. There’s real joy in keeping a pet comfortable and happy in their familiar surroundings while their owner is away, and real satisfaction in knowing a home is safe, clean, and well cared for.

More than anything, we understand what hosts are looking for: the peace of mind that comes from knowing their pets and home are in genuinely caring, reliable hands. We treat every sit as a responsibility we’re privileged to take on — giving your animals the affection and routine they’re used to, keeping you updated while you’re away, and leaving your home exactly as you’d hope to find it. For us, this isn’t just a task; it’s an extension of how we’ve cared for animals our whole lives.

Their experience

While we’re new to an official pet-sitting platform, caring for animals has been a meaningful part of our lives for more than 29 years. We’ve lovingly cared for our own cats and dogs, and we’ve often been the first call from friends and family when trusted pet care was needed. Over the years, we’ve also fostered dogs and kittens, giving them love, patience, and a safe place to land. Animals have always been an important part of our family.

What can they bring to the assignment

We see each assignment as a unique opportunity and give it the specific respect and attention it deserves. While many aspects go into a house and pet sit, first and foremost we treat the sit as a job with its own priorities — and those priorities are set by you, the host.

Before we arrive, we take the time to understand exactly what matters most to you: your pets’ routines, temperaments, and quirks; the particular care your home and garden need; and any preferences that make your absence feel seamless. Every home is different, so we adapt to yours rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

We keep your home clean, secure, and well cared for, send regular updates and photos so you can travel with peace of mind, and leave everything exactly as we found it — if not better.
