About this sitter

Hello! I am a very active kid in her 50s who is happiest playing outside. To pay the bills, I am lucky to have a job I love as a flight attendant, which naturally makes me highly reliable, adaptable, and respectful of house rules. I stumbled into pet sitting serendipitously after fostering a sweet dog named Copper and becoming close friends with her adoptive parents. Copper’s parents enlisted my daughters & I to care for her & her older brother, in their home when they traveled. Word spread, quickly,
amongst friends, that we were exceptional Pet-Home sitters. My regulars keep encouraging me to give MindMyHouse a try so here I am! My love for the outdoors makes me a good match for high-energy dogs who need long walks. Also, I am just as happy to slow down and be peaceful with a senior pet. I love to cuddle & just as easily respect the pet who wants “space”. Lately, I usually sit solo, my two daughters (15 & 20) sometimes join me IF specifically welcomed by the owner. My youngest is a total clean freak, which serves as extra backup to ensure your home is pristine when you return! I am willing to fit your pet's routine and am happy to provide character references from my regular owners to set your mind at ease. Specifically, I’m looking for a house sit opportunity in Brooklyn, NY Sept 24-26 as I’m attending a show at union Hall on the 25th. Otherwise, I’m pretty open as long as I receive advance notice.

While I am not in a position to have a full-time pet of my own due to my flight attendant schedule, being around animals adds joy, warmth and balance to my life. Pet sitting gives me the space to care for and experience a variety of pets while respecting my current lifestyle. Additionally, I want to fully utilize my travel benefits to explore new destinations or deeply revisit places where my work layovers were just too brief. Flight attendant layovers typically trap us near airports or busy urban centers, making it hard to get an authentic feel for the local community and culture. House sitting will allow me to travel on my own time, experience neighborhoods like a true local. This is a win-win: homeowners get a dedicated, reliable caretaker and I get to experience the local lifestyle with a new furry friend(s) by my side!
