Hi, I'm Steph! I'm a house sitter with 8 years of experience, primarily with cat sitting for extended periods, including geriatric and special needs kitties. I'm here to help low-key pet parents who want around-the-clock (or close to it) care for their fur-babies, or homeowners who just want someone to keep house while they're away for awhile.

Why they want to house sit

I'm traveling North through November (all the way from South Carolina!) for several family events back to back, and I'd like to stay close to my family and friends without staying WITH my family and friends. (Four plus months is a little too long to be a house guest, even with my loved ones.) The chance to hang out with some cool cats is just a bonus!

Their experience

I house-sat professionally via Rover in 2017/18 while working part time at Disney and finishing college. After becoming full time at Disney, I switched to cat-sitting on site for my best friend's special needs cat (the gray cat featured in my pictures) twice a year. In 2023 I added a new friend's home to my roster, staying for three weeks each January to care for their two geriatric/special needs cats and one shy rescue kitten. When I moved to SC full time, I began caring for my aunt's 5 rescue cats, all foster fails and two with medical needs that required extra support. My aunt also had a pool I kept clean, although I left the chemicals to the professionals.

What can they bring to the assignment

I have a great deal of experience with older and special needs cats. Pills, special food/food with meds mixed in, and extra attention for velcro kitties are all my forte. As for the homes themselves, I'm fond of routines and schedules, so keeping up with your mail, pool and/or lawn care appointments, and cleaning are all a breeze. (While I don't perform most gardening or pool tasks myself, I'm happy to water your plants on a schedule or keep an eye on a lawn care service, as well as doing the leaf sweep for a pool.)
