Hi! My name is Lea, and I'm a dietitian specializing in vegetarian and vegan nutrition as well as a certified health educator. I'm an animal lover from Germany who is happy to spend time with any living creatures. From dogs and cats to rabbits/ bunnies, chickens, sheep, and even insects. Every animal deserves kindness and respect, no matter how big or small it is.

Because I travel quite a bit, I don't want to have pets of my own at the moment. I know I wouldn't be able to give them the stability they deserve. Instead, I love caring for other people's pets and giving them the same love, attention, and routine they're used to while their owners are away.

I'm looking for homeowners who are searching for someone responsible, caring, and trustworthy to look after both their beloved pets and their home.

Why they want to house sit

For me, house sitting is the perfect combination of my love for animals and my enjoyment of discovering new places. Spending time with animals makes me genuinely happy, and I love getting to know their different personalities. I also enjoy the responsibility that comes with caring for them and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I also love to go out in nature, take walks and go for hikes (if you'd like to, I can take your pet(s) out for a adventurous stroll as well :))

Their experience

Yes. I grew up with cats, bunnies and hamsters and have also cared for small animals. I regularly look after friends' cats and dogs, and you'll find photos of some of them in my profile, along with a few pictures from my travels.

I'm comfortable caring for cats, dogs, small pets, and farm animals such as chickens and sheep etc.. I know how important it is to follow routines, recognize when something isn't right, and act quickly if a pet seems unwell. If I ever have concerns, I'll contact you immediately and keep you updated. I also volunteer at my local animal shelter whenever I can. I enjoy spending time with the cats, giving them attention and affection, and I also help by taking the dogs out for walks. It's something I really enjoy!

I've always had a natural connection with animals, and they usually seem to trust me very quickly.

What can they bring to the assignment

You can expect someone who is reliable, clean, tidy, and respectful of your home. I'll care for your pets as if they were my own, follow your instructions carefully, and keep you updated with messages and photos so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind.
I work part-time in an online role, which gives me a very flexible schedule. This means I can spend plenty of time with your pets.
For additional peace of mind, I can provide a police background check (certificate of good conduct), and I have comprehensive travel health insurance for stays abroad.
I personally don't eat animals and follow a mostly vegan lifestyle because of my love and respect for them. I believe every animal deserves compassion and kindness.
