About this sitter

We are Rebe and Rob. I am a psychologist and a vegetarian chef from Costa Rica and my husband Rob is a biologist with a PhD from UCL in UK. We are proud pet parents of two amazing dogs: Lorenzo, who is 8 years old and Bubu, who is 3 years old.

Currently, we own an ecovillage in Drake Bay, Costa Rica, where we host retreats and collaborate with Worldpackers as Epic Trips Hosts. Our passions include caring for animals, preparing delicious and healthy food, and exploring new places. We are excited about the opportunity to connect with you and your pets!

Why they want to house sit

We have decided it's the right moment to leave the farm while our business continues its journey with our amazing team. Rob will handle the logistical side digitally, allowing us the freedom to explore new opportunities. As for me, I will continue my online courses to formalize my studies as a veggie chef, embracing our lifestyle as digital nomads.

We truly love the idea of discovering new places. This opportunity to travel, pursue our projects, and enjoy the company of pets sounds like the perfect combination for us.

Their experience

We have a finca, which is our business. We subdivided lots and sold properties to owners who have built their homes here. These owners visit Costa Rica once or twice a year. It is an honor for us to be responsible for caring for their homes and ensuring proper maintenance, as well as representing them as hosts for their guests through platforms like Airbnb and other bookings.

Additionally, we have our own greenhouse, for which we are responsible for the crops. Our business is focused on being a retreat center, and we have experience welcoming groups on a weekly basis. This experience has equipped us with valuable skills in property management, guest care, and maintaining a nurturing environment for both the homes and the guests.

What can they bring to the assignment
