I am a writer and work remotely. I enjoy traveling, learning languages and meeting people from different cultures. While traveling, I love getting to know how locals live, so one of the best ways for me to achieve this is housesitting.

Why they want to house sit

We are traveling and living in a vintage 4x4 truck turned into a campervan, so from time to time it is nice to enjoy some more space. Also we are looking to buy a house in Spain, so housesitting is a great way to get to know different areas and how it feels to live there.

Their experience

I have done several housesits since 2018. Many of them through personal recommendation and also through mindmyhouse (see testimonial). Many of the houses were off-the grid in the Spanish countryside. They included taking care of cats, dogs and chickens. Also I watered the plants and checked automatic watering systems.

What can they bring to the assignment

I grew up with cats and now I have two dogs, one we have since he was a puppy and the other one was abandoned and we adopted him. (I will not bring them to the housesitting, because they will stay with my husband). I also took care of cats and dogs while housesitting. I know what it means to live off-grid and be mindful about using electricity and water. I feel empathetic about how you feel trusting someone with you beloved pets and your house/apartment and know how hard it is. I will keep you updated, so you always will know that everything is fine.
