Responsible dog owner (friendly huskies), WFH functional medicine dietitian looking to house sit while working on a passion project

About this sitter

I am a trained chef and functional medicine dietitian. I do virtual 1:1 counseling and have flexible hours. I have two friendly (and vocal) huskies who love playing outdoors and love making new friends. I am looking to house-sit homes where I can bring them. I take them to a dog park twice a day, but they are just as happy to play in a fenced-in backyard as long as they get about 2 hours of dedicated play time. I am comfortable with your dog(s) sleeping in the same room as me, even in the bed, should they require it. I would appreciate a kitchen; however, I can meal prep my food and bring it with me. I would just need somewhere to heat it up. I like my environment clean, and I am used to cleaning daily with my furry babies. I do brush them weekly, bathe them monthly, and stay on top of their maintenance to keep shedding to a minimum. I would be more than happy to care for your dogs in the same way!

Why they want to house sit

I'm currently dedicating time to several professional and personal projects, and I find that working from a peaceful, well-kept home helps me stay focused and productive. Because of this, I'm not looking for a vacation-style stay—I genuinely appreciate quiet, comfortable spaces and take pride in treating them with respect.

Their experience

Not officially, but I do have experience babysitting my cousins in their family home while their parents are away. I have been working since I was 14 years old, primarily in the hospitality industry, before training as a chef and dietitian. I have had both of my huskies since they were 2 months old (14 and 6 years old now). I have used Airbnb for travel and have reviews of the homes that I am more than happy to share.

What can they bring to the assignment

I bring reliability, responsibility, and a genuine respect for other people's homes and pets. As someone who works remotely, I can spend a significant amount of time at the property, which means your home will be occupied, monitored, and cared for throughout the day. I am highly organized and comfortable following detailed instructions, whether that involves pet care routines, administering basic medications, plant care, mail collection, or maintaining the home. I am someone who enjoys quiet, productive routines. In my free time, I like to write, create recipes, and read.
