About this sitter

Hello! I’m Sharron…a lover of pretty things, people, new experiences and travel. I’m a lifetime learner and teacher, retired from public school employment, but still learning. After retiring, I loved living in Showhomes of America in the Dallas Metroplex for several years, staging & caring for them to increase their appeal to potential buyers, while buying and flipping a few houses. I even bought 100 acres and built a horse farm to sell. After serving as Executive Director of the National WASP WWII Museum, followed by owning and operating some women’s fitness centers, and finally working in a boutique in the mountains of Ruidoso, New Mexico before REALLY retiring a couple of years ago. I think my life story is one of capability, responsibility and flexibility. I’m single, a non-smoker, certainly no drug use, and live alone, but share my life and often travel with my long-time love, who is smart, dependable, and an amazing “Mr. Fix-It”.

Why they want to house sit

I now rent a small home in Abilene, Texas that enables me to travel as I please. I am happy to be a low-budget traveler and house sitting is an attractive part of my plan. I enjoy clean, attractive surroundings with everything organized and I love plants and flowers and work some in my yard almost daily, when I am home. I like to do those things for other people, too, in exchange for accommodations allowing me to experience homes away from home.
