Hi I'm Madeleine. I'm 29 and from Melbourne, Australia. I work in libraries and in film.

I'm looking for a place with a sweet little animal to cosy up in a foreign city! I've loved how both housesitting and looking after someone's pet has grounded me in a new city in ways that wouldn't have been possible without. It elicits the the feeling of being a real resident for a moment in time and having the comfort of fury company (I often travel alone) has made my stays far more worthwhile.

Why they want to house sit

I like to remain in one place when I decide to go on vacation. I'm a homebody that likes to spend time way from home, and pet/house sitting allows these contradictions of mine to both exist. I'm taking time off work to finish a script and would much prefer to be doing this in some novel place. I'm open to housesitting assignments anywhere - so feel free to give me a holler!

Some years ago I had used the website, Trusted Housesitters, on a few occasions when travelling to Europe. I've also cared for friends pets when they've left my city for stretches of time.

What can they bring to the assignment

love and care and reliability! Also, pottering about and cleaning is a huge relaxor for me as it allows my mind to wander, and so you can rest assured that your home will stay sparkling clean.
