Traveling Couple - we love animals!

Hello! We are Marcela and Joel, we are a couple, we live in Brazil, and we live 2,885 km apart from each other. Since we have both structured our lives in a way that allows us to work from anywhere in the world and we both love traveling, we decided that, instead of just traveling to each other's cities, we would travel around the world, and since we both love pets, the opportunity to meet and take care of them while traveling is amazing!

Why they want to house sit

​Life is more beautiful with a pet by your side, and we love to do this while travelling together. We love traveling and we organize our routines so we can work remotely from anywhere in the world. We love discovering new cultures and countries. And without a doubt, adding to that the joy that taking care of a pet represents to us seems like the perfect combination of everything we love.

Their experience

We both have experience with cats and dogs. We love pets and we take care of them with all our heart, even the more shy or antisocial ones. You can read more bellow :)

Marcela's Experiences:
​I grew up with dogs at home and genuinely love all animals. Just seeing one instantly brightens my day. My primary experience comes from taking care of my own pets and my family's pets, mostly dogs. Following every moment of an animal's life teaches you a lot about the care needed during each stage of their lives—from basic daily routines to the times when they get sick. I also fell in love with cats after living for two years with my brother's family cat, Zym.
I love playing with them and seeing them happy.
​Joel's Experiences:
​My childhood was shaped by the presence and companionship of several family pets, with dogs and cats living together. During those years, I also took care of a pair of hamsters that ended up having several litters. From an early age, I became accustomed to hygiene and cleaning routines for pet-friendly environments. As an adult, when I lived on my own for the first time, I adopted Léo, a kitten from my neighbor's cat. He was an incredibly important companion during the pandemic. Léo fell ill after a while, and I administered daily medication for his treatment. Right now, I don't have a pet, but I am frequently in touch with the pets belonging to my sister and parents who live in the same city.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are calm, responsible people who like to take life as it comes. We love nature, yoga, and exploring new scenery.
​What we will definitely bring is love, care, and joy to the pet and anyone around us, because we believe this adds flavor and meaning to all of life's situations.
​From a practical standpoint, we will continue working remotely and maintaining a peaceful routine... we usually work between 4 to 6 hours a day during weekdays. (Marcela is a designer and Joel is a language teacher – Latin and Classical Greek)
