About this sitter

We're Rebecca and Gianmarco, an Italian couple currently living in Madrid. Gianmarco is a Research Economist, and I work for an academic publisher. We're responsible, tidy, and respectful people who enjoy quieter surroundings and spending time with animals. We're looking for house sits where we can care for a home and pets while experiencing new places and local communities.

Why they want to house sit

We enjoy travelling at a slower pace and believe house sitting is a wonderful way to experience a destination while providing peace of mind to homeowners. We genuinely enjoy caring for pets and maintaining a home, and it's rewarding to know we're helping both the owners and their animals feel comfortable while they're away. Since Madrid can become very hot during the summer, house sitting also gives us the opportunity to spend some time in cooler locations while continuing to work remotely.

Their experience

Yes. We both grew up with pets and have experience caring for cats and maintaining a clean, well-kept home. We're comfortable following pets' routines, feeding them, cleaning litter trays, and giving them the attention and companionship they need. Gianmarco also has experience with gardening and outdoor maintenance.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring reliability, care, and respect. Since we'll both be working remotely during most house sits, we'll be home for much of the day, ensuring pets receive plenty of company and attention. We'll look after your home as if it were our own, keep it clean and tidy, and carefully follow any instructions to make sure everything runs smoothly while you're away.
