Experienced mother-daughter team for your pets and home

About this sitter

We are Ludy and Sansa, a mother-and-daughter team from the Netherlands.

We have chosen a slow-travel lifestyle, which allows us to spend a great deal of time at home and give pets the attention they deserve.

We love caring for animals and enjoy becoming part of their daily routine. We are looking for house sits where we can provide loving, reliable care while experiencing everyday life in different places.

Coastal locations are a particular favourite, as I Ludy am a fine art portrait photographer who draws inspiration from the sea, but we are happy wherever animals need kind and attentive care.

Why they want to house sit

For us, house sitting is about much more than travelling. We genuinely enjoy caring for animals and giving homeowners complete peace of mind while they are away.

We love the quiet rhythm of daily life with pets, taking walks, spending time at home and making sure every animal feels safe, relaxed and loved. It is incredibly rewarding to know that people/families can enjoy their time away knowing their pets are being cared for as if they were our own.

Their experience

Yes. We have completed multiple successful house sits caring for both cats, dogs and chickens. Most recently we cared for two senior cats during a house sit in Brussels, and before that we completed a six-week house sit near the German border.

In addition, we have fostered twenty-five motherless kittens for our local animal shelter. This taught us patience, careful observation and how important it is to respect every animal's individual personality and routine.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring calmness, reliability and genuine care. We naturally spend a lot of time at home, so pets receive plenty of company, attention and affection.

We are also experienced in providing medical care when needed. Through fostering twenty-five motherless kittens for our local animal shelter, we gained experience with feeding schedules, administering medication and closely monitoring animals' health.

We have also cared for senior cats requiring daily medication, and we are comfortable following detailed care instructions with great attention.

We keep homes clean and tidy, water plants, collect mail and happily take care of any small household tasks. During your trip we will keep you updated with regular messages, photos and videos, so you can relax knowing everything at home is in good hands.

Our goal is always the same: to leave your home exactly as we found it and for your pets to feel happy, safe and loved throughout your absence.
