About this sitter

Dual citizen (Canadian/American)in the ‘open door’ season (mother of one 23yr old daughter on her own). I am free to travel, spending time in beautiful places, tending to and caring for your precious home, plants and pets. English is my mother tongue and I speak some French and Spanish. I enjoy reading, writing, art and craft, QiGong, yoga, swimming, paddleboarding and cycling.

Why they want to house sit

In a season of life where I am free and want to travel. I am custodial by nature. I like to leave places better than I find them, tidying and keeping things clean, orderly and running smoothly. I am an excellent communicator and solution oriented, sending updates as needed or on a cadence that you prefer. I have a gift for organization, de-cluttering and rearranging if that is helpful. I am an experienced painter and enjoy tending to plants and gardens.

I have been house-sitting and pet sitting for friends for more than a decade, across Canada and the US; I am new to this app. I have several professional references who are available by text, email or phone.
I grew up on a farm and am a former dog and cat owner. I have experience tending to pets, indoor and outdoor plants, gardens, farm animals, and many different types of homes, including boats.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am attentive to details, discerning and steady in difficult or emergency situations, and clear and thorough in communication (written and verbal). I live a minimal lifestyle and aim to leave a very light footprint on the earth and everywhere I travel. I understand the essentials of plumbing, HVAC, utilities, trash removal schedules, etc.
