Nurse & Airbnb host with pet experience – reliable sitter for dogs, cats & adventurous stays

About this sitter

I’m a nurse who works remotely, an experienced homeowner and Airbnb host, and a cat owner with good experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve completed two longer house sits in the past (both around three months) and really enjoyed the chance to settle into a place.
I prefer longer-term sits where I can properly get to know the area — try the local food, explore, and immerse myself a bit. In Europe I don’t have a car, I can rent one, so places with decent public transport access work best for me. Happy to look after dogs, cats, or both.

Why they want to house sit

I love traveling and experiencing new places beyond the usual tourist version. House sitting lets me stay somewhere longer, live more like a local, and take care of a home and pets at the same time. As someone who hosts on Airbnb myself, I also understand how important it is to treat someone else’s home with real care.

Their experience

Yes. I’ve done two house sits of about three months each. Both were for homes that were being sold (so no pets on those occasions). The second sit came as a referral from the first, which felt like a good vote of confidence. I’m also an experienced homeowner and Airbnb host, so I know what matters from both sides. I currently have a cat (she lives with my mom while I’m away) and I’ve looked after dogs and cats over the years. My nursing background means I’m professional, reliable, and good at following instructions carefully.

What can they bring to the assignment

I’m very respectful of other people’s homes and belongings, friendly, and independently minded. I’m also quite clean — I like leaving a place better than I found it. I’m social when it feels natural but also very comfortable with alone time, so I won’t be disruptive.
I’m a non-smoker and don’t use any drugs. I don’t bring pets with me. Because I work remotely I can be present and flexible. I’ll keep the house tidy, the pets on their routines and well cared for, and communicate clearly so you can relax.
