About this sitter

Hello, I am Denis, a retired psychologist/hospital administrator. Julie (Ceramic Artist) and I would to travel a bit more within our financial constraints, across Australia and New Zealand in particular. We see house-sitting as an opportunity to explore other environments, while giving owners the opportunity to travel while being assured their animals are in good hands.

Why they want to house sit

While we have not done house sitting before, we have in the past had a house sitter to care for our Airedale Terrier (Bella - now deceased). This was a great benefit to us, allowing us to be away for an extended period without worrying that Bella was not being cared for adequately. Also, having someone in the house alleviates the anxiety of the house being unattended.

Their experience

Not experienced in house sitting but appreciate the benefits it offers to both owners and sitters. Experiences with our dogs in particular (over 30 years), and more recently looking after others’ dogs at our home, during COVID and after.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are very conscientious, quiet, house proud, we love walking, and interacting with animals, which we have missed since we no longer have our own pets.
