About this sitter

We're an American-French family currently living in Spain, where we've been serving as missionaries in Europe since 2018. This fall we're returning to the United States on furlough (approximately October through early January). Our home base will be the Charlotte, North Carolina area, where we'll reconnect with family, friends, our supporting churches, and ministry partners. We're also excited to explore more of the U.S. and would be delighted to consider house sits in other locations, whether for a week, a few weeks, or longer.

Why they want to house sit

House sitting is a wonderful fit for our season of life. It allows us to have a comfortable place to call home while we're on furlough, and it gives us the opportunity to provide something valuable in return. We genuinely enjoy caring for homes, gardens, and pets, and we love the idea of helping homeowners travel with complete peace of mind. We see it as a mutually beneficial arrangement: your home and pets receive attentive, loving care while we enjoy the privilege of living like locals and experiencing different communities. We believe in treating someone else's home with the same care and respect we would our own.

Their experience

While we're new to dedicated house-sitting platforms, we're certainly not new to the responsibilities that come with caring for homes and pets. As missionaries serving in Europe since 2018, we've lived in and cared for homes entrusted to us and understand the importance of treating someone else's property with the utmost respect. We've owned both dogs and cats over the years and know they're cherished members of the family. We're also happy to water plants, tend gardens, collect mail, keep a home clean and well maintained, and provide regular updates while you're away. We're responsible, organized, excellent communicators, and would be happy to provide personal and ministry references.

We bring reliability, maturity, and genuine care. As a family serving as missionaries in Europe, we've learned the importance of stewardship and treating everything entrusted to us with respect. We understand that your home is more than just a building and your pets are more than just animals; they're part of your family.
We strive to leave every home just as clean (or cleaner) than we found it. We'll care for your pets according to their routines, water plants and gardens, collect mail, and keep an eye on your property while you're away. We also believe that communication is essential, so we'll happily send regular updates and photos, giving you peace of mind that everything is being well cared for.
Our hope is that you return home to happy pets, a well-cared-for home, and the confidence that you made the right choice in trusting us.
