Responsible retired couple enjoying all that life has to offer

About this sitter

We are a couple who have just retired. I, Isabel, was a primary school teache for 35 years and Iñaki, was in charge of a small maintenance company. We have traveled a lot around the world in different ways; but nowadays we're looking to experience living like locals, not just like tourists. Traveling is one of our passions, but we've never done it this way.

Why they want to house sit

We believe that living in a house that is neither a hotel nor any other type of tourist accommodation will make us feel more involved in local life. Logically, the financial aspect is important, but it is not a priority for us.

Their experience

We have no experience with this website, it'll be our first time, but we own two homes, one in Madrid and another one in northern Spain, and we know the care they require. Furthermore,our two current cats and those we have had throughout our lives are constantly teaching us what they want and need to enjoy being with us. A neighbor friend would take care of out cats, so we don't look for very long stays away from home.

What can they bring to the assignment

Essentially, lots of love for the cats and a lot of responsability in all the tasks the house owners consider appropriate, both with the cat/s and with the house and its environment.
